Joe Lando / Jack

Born in Chicago, Joe Lando is the younger of two children who grew up in Prairie View, Illinois and then moved to LA when he was 18.  Lando worked as a chef before his first big acting break came in 1990 when he was cast as heartthrob Jake Harrison on “One Life To Live.”

That job led to his most famous role to date as Byron Sully, the enigmatic mountain man on the long running series “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” from 1993 to 1998.  In 2000, Lando appeared in “Higher Ground,” in which he was not only the star, but also the executive co-producer for the series.  He also costarred with Rob Estes in an original TBS movie called “Counterstrike,” which premiered in 2003.

Lando starred in “Killer Flood,” for Pax TV, and as the hero and star of “Devil Winds,” also for Pax.  His film “Combustion” was released on DVD in the United States in 2004 and aired on the Lifetime Network as “Silent Killer,” that same year.

Lando also guest starred on the WB Network’s “Summerland” in the summer of 2004 and on Lifetime’s “Missing.”  His movie “Bloodsuckers” sizzled on the Sci-Fi Channel, just two days before his first of two appearances on the new ABC Family drama “Wildfire.”  He also filmed another movie for Sci-Fi, called “Shock Wave.”

Most recently, Lando is busy at work with guest star appearances on “Melrose Place” and “NCIS.”  His other recent projects include the short “Spotlight,” made-for-TV movie “A.I. Assault” and the 2011 film, “Thriftstore Cowboy.”

Lando is married with three sons and one daughter.
